P&P Optica Presenting at Google Demo Day: Women’s Edition

October 28, 2016 – P&P Optica (PPO) is excited to announce that it will be representing women in technology and business, as well as Canada, amongst 11 other startup companies from across the globe to pitch at Google Demo Day. Out of 800 applicants from 65 countries, PPO was hand selected to speak at this prestigious event which is a true testament to the great companies women are building globally. Google Demo Day: Women’s Edition takes place on November 2nd at Google headquarters in Mountain View, California.

PPO is set to showcase their advancements in the food and beverage industry with their Smart Imaging technology. This technology is centered around reducing food waste, improving the quality of our food, and helping processors meet global demands through increased efficiency.

CEO Olga Pawluczyk, along with the dedicated team at PPO, has acquired three major food projects within the last year. These partnerships with major Canadian processors leverage PPO’s unique Smart Imaging technology to solve issues facing the trillion dollar industry. An astounding 40% of food is wasted from farm to fork. PPO’s groundbreaking technology is designed to be the new gold standard in detection, addressing capability gaps that exist with current approaches.

“The team and I could not be happier to be taking part in such an amazing opportunity. We have worked extremely hard in the past year to help create awareness about our Smart Imaging solution. Google Demo Day will be an excellent chance to shed light, not only on the amazing success stories of women in business but also on how PPO is taking steps to creating a healthier, more sustainable food industry both in Canada and around the world.”
